Campus Compass

Undergraduate Capstone Project

Sep 2025 – May 2026
  • iOS app helping Pacific University students navigate campus indoors — built as a senior capstone over two semesters with a 2-person team using Scrum sprints.
  • Parsed GeoJSON building data to extract 200+ room-level waypoints across 8 buildings, constructing a graph structure for shortest-path indoor routing.
  • Engineered MapKit annotation clustering with zoom-level visibility controls, rendering real-time interactive indoor maps with smooth performance.
  • Translated physical floor plans into navigable digital maps, enabling users to locate specific classrooms, offices, and amenities across campus.

Punch Harder

Hackathon Project

May 2026
  • Live self-defense coaching web app that detects, counts, and classifies punches from webcam video, then delivers per-punch form feedback with text-to-speech narration over a slow-motion replay.
  • Designed a punch-detection algorithm on top of MediaPipe pose tracking using wrist-to-torso distance trajectories to identify punch events in real time.
  • Synchronized punch timestamps with backend YOLOv8 classifications to align coaching feedback frame-accurately to the replay video.
  • Won 2nd Place in NVIDIA Track (Best Use of Nemotron) at BeaverHacks, Oregon State University.

Monte Planner

Hackathon Project

April 2026
  • Project scheduling web app that runs 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations to forecast completion dates, on-time probability, and which tasks are most likely to cause delays.
  • Designed and built the frontend results interface in React, visualizing simulation output as forecast distribution charts, on-time probability metrics, and ranked risk analysis views.
  • Won 2nd Place Overall and 2nd Place Innovation at HackUP, University of Portland. Built with a 4-person team.

Ducks Fly

Hackathon Project

May 2026
  • Multiplayer web game where players control duck avatars using body movements tracked through MediaPipe pose detection, racing through 3D ring courses rendered in three.js.
  • Built the real-time multiplayer backend with Colyseus, handling room lifecycle (lobby → countdown → race → finished), position broadcast and interpolation, and state sync for up to 8 concurrent players.
  • Implemented server-authoritative scoring, lap/ring validation, player-vs-player collision detection, and a leaderboard system.
  • Deployed the game server on Fly.io via Docker and the frontend on Vercel.
